The Ops Room

Our Operations Room is a fully operational, working re-creation of the Battle of Britain era RAF control rooms made famous in numerous films. Our Ops Room personnel guide visitors through a genuine raid from the war, in which you will hear pilots relaying  information from their cockpits to the entire team via speakers, while WAAF plotters react to the latest developments coming through on their headsets.

The telephones alert Officers to further tactical news from the Observer Corps while the"Tote Board" light indicators burst into life to show the Fighter Squadrons state of readiness as they scramble to join the battle!
